However, as with any service, there is always room for improvement. Based on recent customer reviews from 2023, we've identified three significant areas where Teachable could enhance its pricing model to better meet the needs of its users.

1. Flexible Course Limits for Paid Plans

One of the pain points expressed by users like Shalinee K., a founder in education management, is the limitation on the number of courses they can host on the platform. Shalinee mentions, The limitation in the paid version is to have only five courses at a time. However, the pro version doesn't have a limit. This restriction can be a significant barrier for small businesses looking to expand their offerings. To address this, Teachable could introduce more flexible course limits across all paid plans, allowing creators to scale their businesses without having to jump to a significantly more expensive tier.

2. Transparent and Consistent Pricing

Lisa U., a dog trainer and small business owner, voices her frustration with Teachable's pricing inconsistencies: I pay $120 per month for the pro version; however, I keep getting emails a few times a year promoting an intro rate for $99. This lack of transparency and consistency in pricing can lead to dissatisfaction and distrust among users. Teachable should ensure that all customers are offered the same rates and that any promotional pricing is communicated clearly and made available to existing customers as well.

3. Improved Support for Legacy Technology

Another area of concern is the compatibility of Teachable's platform with older technology. Users like Lisa U. have experienced issues with uploading content due to outdated software on their devices. Teachable no longer lets me upload files... I am not able to upload any of my new content, she explains. To improve user experience, Teachable should work on optimizing its platform to support a broader range of devices and software versions, or at least provide alternative solutions for users with older technology.
